Food Packaging
We were tasked to create food packaging inspired by Surrealism. My concept was based on Automatism which is essentially derived from Dadaism and in the same vein also influenced Surrealism. It refers to creating art with the subconscious mind being the determining factor of how it will turn out.
Drawing from a range of influences my CHANCE cereal was created with random bits inside such as popcorn, milk bottles, muesli and caramel bits. Each pack a bit of a surprise for the buyer decorated in seemingly random illustration.

To accompany the cereal I added milk packaging which states on the bottle, "Better than momma's" - A nod to Freud's "Oedipus Complex" , signifying the subconscious mind, linking to Automatism once again.

Lastly the Salty Choc Balls are offered a breakfast topping, dripping with resin one might think of Salvadore Dali's dripping clocks.
